We believe that all people deserve to be treated equally. Our goal is to help those struggling with mental health problems to be relieved of their unresolved issues that repeatedly cause them harm.
Jessica Herz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She specializes in personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and addiction.
Working with individuals of all ages, she implements an individualized approach to helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She utilizes cognitive and behavioral interventions to assist clients in learning how to create their best, most healthy lives.
She provides individual, couples, and family counseling services. Jessica provides both short-term and long-term therapy.
Jessica earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Jessica has worked for multiple Mental Health and Addiction treatment centers in South Florida. She has experience as both a licensed therapist and as a clinical director in the field. She has worked in detox, inpatient, and outpatient settings and has experience working with most mental health disorders, in crisis intervention, dual-diagnosis, and with most chronic mental illnesses.
Jessica has also worked in the Community Health field providing therapy for couples and families dealing with relationship issues and chronic mental illness. She has worked with children in the school systems and the elderly in assisted living homes.
Jessica has also worked in career advising, helping people find the right careers and educational paths that fit their lifestyle and personality.
Outside of work, Jessica is a dedicated advocate and volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She is also an active member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
